UPDATE: Melville RCMP has located and arrested Alvin Lawrence Sunshine. The Melville RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 27-year old Alvin Lawrence Sunshine.

The Government of Saskatchewan concluded its 2018 invasive mussel monitoring program with no confirmed findings of invasive mussels in 121 waterbodies sampled throughout the province.

Game one of the playoff series between Yorkton and Nipawin was a defensive affair. When the teams met in game two at the Centennial Arena in Nipawin the offences took over.

The Yorkton Family Expo took place on Saturday with a wide variety of events for the kids, including a bouncy castle, indoor playground and a state-of-the-art video game trailer.

With ice fishing season winding down, anglers are reminded that all fishing shelters south of Highway 16 must be removed by March 15, and shelters in areas north of Highway 16 must be removed by March 31.

The Parkland Association of Disc Golf and Disc Golf Saskatchewan hosted an ‘Ice Bowl’ at Patrick Park Disc Golf Course in Yorkton Sunday. Proceeds from the 18-basket event went to the Yorkton Lighthouse Food Bank and Care Centre.

This summer, campers can once again enjoy Saskatchewan’s beautiful provincial parks with convenience and ease. The Camp-Easy program is expanding for the 2019 camping season and will be available in eight parks.
