John Maluga of Yorkton was headend brakeman on this freight. It was the first diesel-driven freight that passed through Yorkton on Feb. 17, 1954. A Wynyard crew was operating this train. It had left Winnipeg at 12 midnight, arriving here at 3:10 p.m.
