On Saturday, Sept 21, Yorkton Minor Baseball held a ‘Thank You’ event at Jubilee Park for sponsors, contractors, and volunteers.

Census Division 9 – Calder, Canora, Pelly, Preeceville, Sheho and Yorkton areas; Census Division 10 – Foam Lake, Kelliher, Leroy, Raymore and Wadena areas; Census Division 11 – Davidson, Colonsay, Langham, Lanigan, Nokomis, Outlook and Saskatoon areas.

Action heated up this weekend and another big win for McEwen, this time an  8-3 win over Brad Gushue Sunday.

In June of 2023, Mounties were called to a home in the Calder district, to conduct a wellness check on 61-year-old Bentley Bauming. He was found dead.

RCMP say the accused was known to the victim, 21-month-old Lorenzo Cote.

A lone man entered the business, carrying an edged weapon, and took money from the cash register, before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
