Zebra mussels have continued their expansion in Manitoba waterways, with adult mussels having been found for the first time as far north as Sipiwesk Lake in the Nelson River system.

Since childhood, I have preferred a few close relationships over many superficial ones. Media platforms such as Facebook are too big for me. Too intimidating, and too artificial. Nevertheless, realizing the times, I try.

When La Loche’s Ducharme Elementary School returns this fall, some young students’ first classes won’t be in English.

Fishing is one of those interesting efforts that for some is a solitary activity of reflection and for others a social one needing a friend to make it worthwhile. In my case I fully admit requiring a friend along for the ride.

With COVID-19 restrictions easing people are getting out and having some summer fun. Friday, Yorkton’s Darcy Zaharia took the family to visit the petting zoo at Canora Beach on Good Spirit Lake.

The wonderful weather Saturday was perfect for a horse ride. So, that is exactly what Kristina, Jillian and Emma Just did for some morning relaxation on their farm west of Yorkton.

The boys are back on the diamonds. After the uncertainty of COVID-19 put the 2020 summer season in question for minor baseball teams in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and Canada, at least some teams,are back in action.
