One new case, one person in intensive care

It wasn’t exactly the big fish Sharon Fabrick of Yorkton was looking for when she went fishing Saturday, but she admits the huge carp she hooked did offer up a spirited fight before being landed.

One of my easy top-10 games to play is cribbage. I love its quirky counting rules, and that it plays two, three, or four players equally well.

Last weekend we parted with our camping trailer, after having given up our seasonal site at Good Spirit Lake. We enjoyed two good summers there, and the memories will linger long, spurred by our photos.

It was a good day fishing for Ken Wosminity when a rather large northern pike took a bite of his offered bait. Wosminity landed the hungry pike June 9, at the new Togo Bridge. The big fish measured 40-inches and weighed 16.5 pounds.

The Village of Gray, Saskatchewan will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, Community Category, now planned for Aug. 15, in Battleford, SK.

So I am beginning to think COVID-19 has spread to local fishing holes, leading them to self-isolate well away from us fisher folk. At least that appears to be the case in locales I’ve thrown a line this spring.
