Mental health services and supports are readily available to Saskatchewan residents who need them during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Saskatchewan resident in the 80-89 age range has died from complications related to COVID-19. The province now has three deaths related to the virus.

Shelby Gibson was the recipient of the Yorkton This Week Saskatchewan Opportunity Scholarship which was recently presented through the Parkland College. Overall $50,000 in awards were presented at the ceremony March 12.

It was in December Yorkton Council discussed that The City of Yorkton’s Public Works Department was in the middle of a crisis. Their building was no longer habitable, and the 75 people on staff have to be relocated for safety reasons.

The General Alexander Ross branch of the Royal Canadian Legion in Yorkton recently made a donation to help out the local food bank. Legion member Ken Gordon made the donation of $1,000 to Lt. Samuel Tim representing the Salvation Army Food Bank.

On March 31, Esterhazy Detachment received a complaint that multiple golf cart sheds had been damaged at the Esterhazy Regional Park/Golf Course. The damage is believed to have occurred in the last several days.
