Call for Applicants: Guelph Street Corridor Revitalization Committee

The Town of Halton Hills is seeking volunteers interested in serving on the Guelph Street Corridor Revitalization Committee for the Guelph Street Corridor Secondary Plan. To better integrate community voices into this ongoing project and help shape the plan’s policies, the Town is looking for landowners, area residents, business community/Chamber of Commerce representatives, potential investors, and community members with knowledge of architecture, landscape design, and planning.

The Guelph Street Corridor Revitalization Committee will assist in creating an inspiring and achievable long-term vision for the redevelopment and enhancement of the Guelph Street Corridor. (Guelph Street, from Maple Avenue to Hall Road).

Guelph Street Corridor Study Area:

The specific role of the committee will be to:

• Bring together community resources
• Share information/knowledge of the study area
• Provide input at key stages of the project and/or on key issues
• Receive feedback from community members outside the committee
• Serve as a direct link between the project team and the community

Applicant Eligibility:

• Must be over the age of 18 years
• Not employed by the Corporation of the Town of Halton Hills
• Demonstrates a strong knowledge of and/or interest in the future planning of the Guelph Street Corridor

Additional Information:

• Interested applicants should provide information on why they would like to be a part of the committee, and what experience, skill or expertise they bring to the role.
• The committee is anticipated to meet as needed (up to once a month) throughout the secondary plan process (April 2025 - August 2026)
