Cold case: Police ask public for tips in murder of Marie Lasas

Marie Lynn Lasas was 19 when she was murdered. He was reported missing in September 2006 and her body was found in June 2007.

SASKATOON – Police are renewing their request for tips in the historical homicide of 19-year-old Marie Lynn Lasas.

On June 30, 2007, police found Lasas’ body in the 200 block of 33rd Street West. She had been reported missing by family in September of 2006 after having failed to remain in regular contact. She was last seen leaving a friend’s home in the 600 block of Avenue H South at about 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 24, 2006.

Lasas left behind two children.

Police say no suspects have been arrested but investigators believe members of the public may have information helpful in solving the case. Anyone with relevant information to offer is asked to contact police directly at 306-975-8300 or submit a tip anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
