SASKATOON – A 32-year-old man wanted on outstanding warrants has been charged with assault and mischief after allegedly smashing glass front doors of a facility with an ice pick.

Saskatoon police say that they were called to the Wellness Centre in the 400 block of Fairmont Drive at about 3:30 a.m. on March 27 for a weapons complaint. The caller said that a man had become aggressive with staff and smashed the glass front doors with an ice pick and tried assaulting a staff member before fleeing. No one was injured, say police.

When police arrived, they found the suspect walking down the middle of the street in the 300 block of Fairmont Drive.

Kyle Fineday was arrested without incident and police believe he was under the influence of an intoxicant. He appeared in Saskatoon court Tuesday on a charge of willful mischief over $5,000 to property.
