Meadow Lake man appears in court on drug trafficking, weapons charges

RCMP seized methamphetamine, cocaine and crack-cocaine, two firearms, ammunition and other weapons.

Meadow Lake RCMP Crime Reduction Team and Meadow Lake RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of 2nd Street West in Meadow Lake.

MEADOW LAKE – A 29-year-old man was arrested after RCMP raided a home on the 500 block of 2nd Street West in Meadow Lake Sunday.

John Arnold made his first appearance in Meadow Lake Provincial Court Monday on charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking methamphetamine, three counts of possession of a firearm/ammunition while prohibited, two counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, and two counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited.

Meadow Lake RCMP Crime Reduction Team and Meadow Lake RCMP executed the search warrant and seized about eight grams of methamphetamine, five grams of cocaine and crack-cocaine, two firearms, ammunition and other weapons.

Arnold is back in court on March 27 for a show cause hearing. 

Sask. RCMP Crime Reduction Teams (CRT) are part of the Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Team (SERT). CRTs work with Saskatchewan RCMP detachments to suppress the activity of criminals and criminal groups that threaten community safety.
