SASKATOON – A Saskatoon pharmacist accused of drug trafficking was expected to enter an election Tuesday in Saskatoon Provincial Court but the matter was adjourned again until June 27 for election.

Jenna Ternan, 41, is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000, unsafe storage of a firearm, and failing to hold a firearm license.

In April, Ternan's bail conditions were eased in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

An investigation by Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit resulted in Ternan’s arrest earlier this year. On Feb. 28, they raided a pharmacy in the 900 block of Northumberland Ave., a home in the 1000 block of Schuyler Street, and two vehicles.

Police say pharmacy records reveal that from September 2022 to January 2023, more than 24,000 Schedule 1 narcotics were unaccounted for from the pharmacy inventory.

In January, police seized more than 700 oxycodone pills  allegedly connected to Ternan. In February, they seized 43 Hydromorphone Contin18 capsules, 85 Dextroamphetamine capsules, 22 Dilaudid capsules, a coffee grinder covered in white powder residue, labels from pharmaceutical bottles, a 2018 Honda, a bolt action .22 calibre firearm, and various documentation and pharmacy records

The charges against Ternan haven’t been tested in court.
