Police catch man on Saskatoon street with two loaded sawed-off firearms

Saskatoon police arrested a man walking with two loaded sawed-off firearms, a large bladed weapon, and suspected fentanyl.

SASKATOON – A 28-year-old Saskatoon man faces drug trafficking and weapons-related offences after being found in unauthorized possession of loaded firearms Wednesday.

On Sept. 27, at around 3 p.m., the Saskatoon Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit with the assistance of patrol officers arrested a man walking in the 400 block of Avenue U South in possession of two loaded sawed-off firearms, a large bladed weapon, and approximately 116 grams of suspected fentanyl.

He appeared in Saskatoon court Thursday.
