Police looking for information after assault in Broadview

Victim flown to hospital via STARS, say RCMP.

BROADVIEW – An assault that happened on Main Street  and Fourth Avenue has police asking the public for information.

The assault occurred around 1 a.m. on Aug. 13, and the victim was sent to hospital by STARS.

"One adult male sustained serious injury and was transported to the hospital via STARS air ambulance," said RCMP in a media release. "Officers have conducted interviews, proactive patrols in the community and continue to follow-up on any information provided to them that may assist with identifying the individual responsible and determine the circumstances of the assault."

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Broadview RCMP at (306) 696-5200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

The investigation is ongoing at this point.
