Police plane used to track teen with weapons

Boy made first court appearance this morning.

REGINA – A machete-wielding, gun-toting teen was picked up by police in Regina last night.

Just before 8 p.m., RPS received a report of a male with a firearm in the 2300 block of 12th Avenue.

The Aerial Support Unit found the boy, directing officers on patrol to his location. Officers found a firearm and a machete on the suspect, described as a 14-year-old male.

The teen appeared in Regina Provincial Youth Court this morning.
