Police recover pair of stolen vehicles, make arrests

Three men facing charges in two separate incidents.

REGINA – A pair of stolen vehicle cases kept police in Regina busy this week, making three arrests as a result.

During the afternoon of March 6, police noticed a vehicle that had been reported stolen four days earlier, driving in an erratic manner, speeding, and running red lights and stop signs.

“Police did not pursue but were able to observe a male enter the vehicle in the Uplands neighbourhood, replacing the original male driver,” said RPS in a media release. “The new driver continued driving the stolen vehicle in a manner dangerous to public.”

This initiated the deployment of a spike belt, and the vehicle was later abandoned in a parking lot on the 2900 block of Gordon Road.

Four occupants fled, but all were taken into custody, including both drivers. The drivers were charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, plus additional charges.

Daniel Joseph Moar, 33, and Terren Brady Kennedy-Gladue, 27, were jointly charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Moar was also charged with dangerous driving, driving while prohibited, and failure to comply with a probation order.

Kennedy-Gladue was further charged with dangerous driving.

Both men made their first appearances on these charges in provincial court on March 7.

Just after 3:30 a.m. on March 7, police were called to the 3900 block of Green Falls Drive for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

“The license plate was provided to police and the involved vehicle was determined to be stolen,” RPS said.

Once the vehicle was found, police arrested the 19-year-old driver

Carter Stallwood was charged with flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failure to comply with a condition of an undertaking.

Stallwood also made his first appearance in provincial court on March 7.
