Saskatoon police arrest three following a pursuit

SASKATOON - Three people were arrested Monday morning after a dangerous driving incident involving a stolen vehicle.

On March 6 at around 4 a.m., Saskatoon Police Service officers observed a vehicle believed to be stolen, near the intersection of 11th Street West and Avenue W South. When they attempted to perform a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed.

The SPS Air Support Unit began to track the vehicle and observed it exiting onto Highway 7, momentarily. The driver then headed back into the city, where the vehicle was eventually abandoned in the 600 block of Lisgar Avenue. Three people were spotted fleeing from the vehicle on foot, and were all arrested a short distance away by patrol officers.

As a result, a 27-year-old woman faces charges of dangerous driving, evading police, and possession of stolen property. A 29-year-old woman is charged with breach of conditions, and a 37-year-old woman was arrested on outstanding warrants from the Warman RCMP.
