PRINCE ALBERT – A 29-year-old man has turned himself into Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) in connection to the city’s third homicide this year. He has been charged with second-degree murder and appears in Prince Albert court Oct. 10.

Police had responded to a call at about 7:15 a.m. on Friday about a deceased man in a multi-dwelling residence in the 100 Block of 11th Street West. Police found a 37-year-old man deceased.

A 47-year-old woman was also arrested and released.

PAPS say they don’t anticipate making any more arrests in this murder.

They also say that they are currently conducting an investigation in the 300 Block of 13th Street East and the public can expect increased police presence in the area through the night as the investigation continues.

Police can confirm that this is a separate investigation from the 100 Block of 11th street West reported earlier today.

They say updates will be provided as they are available.
