Prince Albert: Two men charged with assault after weapons complaint

Police and EMS found two injured men with non-life-threatening injuries, both were taken to the hospital by ambulance and released later.

PRINCE ALBERT – Police arrested two people following a weapons complaint.

Prince Albert police say that just after 5 p.m. on May 25 officers were dispatched to the parking lot of a business in the 800 block of 15th Street East for a weapons call. Members and Parkland Ambulance staff attended to two injured males with non-life-threatening injuries, both were taken to the hospital by ambulance and released later.

Through the police investigation, two men were located and arrested. Jay Ahenakew, 44, and Nicholas Thomas, 43, have both been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and carry a concealed weapon dangerous to public. They appeared in court on May 26.
