Rammy driver arrested

Regina man blocked another vehicle, threw an object, then rammed the victim, police say.

REGINA – Ramming another vehicle earned one Regina man a fancy pair of bracelets and multiple charges.

Police responded to the call at 6:30 p.m. on May 9 after a female victim reported the incident. According to police investigation, the woman had been travelling west on McCallum Avenue, preparing to turn south on Angus Street when another vehicle drove towards her at a "very high rate of speed," preventing her from completing the turn.

"After she pulled over nearby, the driver of the other vehicle pulled up next to her, threw an object at her vehicle, and drove away at a high rate of speed," RPS said in a media release. "The vehicle returned once again, ramming his vehicle into the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then drove away."

Through investigation, police apprehended Justin Ross Lanoutte, 29, as a suspect in the event. He's been charged with assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, and failure to stop after an accident.

Lanoutte made an initial appearance on the charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning.
