Update: RCMP Major Crimes lay charge after death in Patuanak

When officers responded they found the injured man who was later declared deceased by EMS at the scene.

On March 15, at about 1 a.m. Patuanak RCMP received a report of an injured man at a home in Patuanak.

PATUANAK – Update March 18: Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has laid a murder charge in the March 15 suspicious death of an adult male in Patuanak, who can now be identified as 26-year-old Brandon Dawatsare.

On March 17, they arrested an adult female in Prince Albert. Twenty-two-year-old Brittany Bear is charged with one count of second degree murder.

Original post March 15: A 26-year-old man from Patuanak has died and police are investigating his death as suspicious.

On March 15, at about 1 a.m. Patuanak RCMP received a report of an injured man at a home in Patuanak.

When officers responded they found the injured man who was later declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 26-year-old from Patuanak. His family has been notified and victim services made available to them.

His death is considered suspicious and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is investigating.

If investigators determine an imminent public safety risk exists, they say they will notify the public.
