Regina homeowner injured during break-in

Police called while suspect in the house.

REGINA – An early morning break-in left one homeowner in the 2000 block of Toronto Street injured. Police received the call around 4 a.m. on Jan. 29, while the suspect was still in the home.

“The complainant had stated a male was in their residence damaging property,” said RPS in a media release. “Upon arrival, police located the suspect in the residence and arrest him without incident.”

The resident of the home sustained non life-threatening injuries, but police say they were transported by EMS for treatment.

Alexander Sayer, 36, of Regina was charged with break and enter commit mischief, and aggravated assault. He will make an initial court appearance on Jan. 30.
