Saskatoon police charge man after loaded handgun found in vehicle

In their investigation, police saw a case for a firearm on the floor near the passenger seat.

SASKATOON – A 29-year-old man was arrested after a loaded handgun and an unloaded magazine were found in a vehicle.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. on April 8, Saskatoon police responded to reports of an altercation at a business in the 3300 Block of 33rd Street West.

Officers arrived at the business to find a man and woman sitting inside a parked vehicle. In their investigation, they saw a case for a firearm on the floor near the passenger seat. Upon further investigation, a loaded handgun and a second unloaded magazine were found.

The man was charged with careless handing of a firearm and improper storage of a firearm.
