RM of RUDY — Three people have been charged after police a stolen truck stuck in a field south of Saskatoon.
On Aug. 10, at approximately 4 p.m., Outlook RCMP received a report of a stolen truck travelling on Highway 219 in the RM of Rudy. The vehicle was determined to be recently stolen in Saskatoon.
Outlook RCMP responded and observed the suspect vehicle stuck in a field in a rural area south of Whitecap. Officers believed the vehicle occupant(s) had fled on foot.
With the assistance of Cormon Park Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service, a drone and a police dog were deployed, assisting officers in a search of the area. Police say two males and a female were arrested, and the stolen truck was recovered.
Resulting from further investigation, a 38-year-old man from Meacham is charged with:
- resists/obstruct peace officer;
- dangerous operation of motor vehicle;
- flight from peace officer;
- operation while prohibited;
- breaking, entering, committing;
- disguised with intent to commit an offence; and
- one count, mischief over $5,000.
A 40-year-old Saskatoon woman is charged with:
- breaking, entering, committing; and
- mischief over $5,000.
A 41-year-old man from Saskatoon is charged with:
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;
- dangerous operation of motor vehicle;
- flight from peace officer;
- breaking, entering, committing;
- mischief over $5,000; and
- fail to comply with probation order.
He was also arrested on a Canada Wide warrant from St. Albert RCMP in Alberta.
