SASKATOON — While temperatures are set to hit the mid to high double digits for August, time is dwindling to take advantage of outdoor water venues.
Paddling pools and summer playground programs wrapped up for the season Aug. 19, as did swimming at George Ward Outdoor Pool.
The Saskatoon Fire Department promoted a slip slide event at John Lake Park the afternoon of Aug. 19.
However, you can still get your last summer swim in at Mayfair and Lathey outdoor pools until Aug. 24, with Riversdale Outdoor Pool open until Sept. 1.
Spray pads will also remain open until Sept. 1, and Nutrien Playland at Kinsmen Park closes for the season on Sept. 1.
If you have a furry friend in your household, you can take advantage of the “Dog Days of Summer” at Mayfair Pool on Aug. 26. Pre-registration is required. Only 60 dogs per session will be allowed. The SPCA will be on hand for a barbecue fundraiser throughout the day.
