Saskatoon police charge man with trafficking methamphetamine

The man had 21 grams of methamphetamine and a machete on him, say police.

At approximately 1 a.m., July 22, members of the SPS Tactical Support Unit executed a search warrant on a home in the 200 block Avenue W South.

SASKATOON – A 31-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Guns and Gangs Unit into methamphetamine trafficking.

At approximately 1 a.m., July 22, members of the SPS Tactical Support Unit executed a search warrant on a home in the 200 block Avenue W South. Inside, drug paraphernalia and a stolen scooter were located.  A man was arrested at the scene and found to be in possession of 21 grams of methamphetamine and a machete.  

He has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and carrying a concealed weapon.
