Saskatoon woman, 28, charged with stabbing two others

Two women were stabbed in separate incidents.

A 28-year-old woman is charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, carry a concealed weapon, and breach of probation.

SASKATOON – A Saskatoon woman was arrested Thursday night after two women were stabbed in separate incidents.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., May 25, 2023, Patrol officers were dispatched to a report of an injured person near 20th Street East and 2nd Avenue South. When police arrived, they found a 35-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound. She provided officers the description of the female suspect, believed to be unknown to the victim, prior to being transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Alternative Response Officers quickly located the suspect in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue South. While being arrested, police located a large knife in her waistband. Prior to transporting the suspect to Detention, officers learned that paramedics were transporting a second stabbing victim to hospital, a 25-year-old woman, who was located behind a shopping centre at 20th Street East and 1st Avenue South. Through their investigation, police were quickly able to confirm that the second victim was assaulted by the same suspect.
