Shots fired at vehicle on Hwy 2 as it's chased, RCMP search for truck

The RCMP investigation determined an altercation occurred between occupants in a truck and another vehicle in front of a business in Northside.

PRINCE ALBERT – RCMP are investigating after occupants in a truck chased and shot at a vehicle on Highway 2.  

On April 10, at about 10 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a firearm discharge in Northside. Northside is a hamlet with about 35 people about 35 kilometres north of Prince Albert.

Officers responded immediately, and their investigation determined an altercation occurred between occupants in a truck and another vehicle in front of a business in Northside.

Following the interaction, the second vehicle drove away. The truck began chasing and shooting at the second vehicle on Highway 2. The truck later turned onto a grid road south of Johnson Hill Road and headed towards Sturgeon Lake First Nation.

The occupants reported no physical injuries.

The truck is a Dodge Ram and is described as dark-coloured with grey wheel flares, original rims, and no sidestep running boards.

Prince Albert RCMP continues to investigate. Investigators are asking anyone in the Northside area who may have witnessed suspicious activity, or captured surveillance footage in this area during the evening of April 10, to contact them.
