Trio arrested in Regina after weekend robbery

Police nab suspects who fled scene.

REGINA – A man and two women are facing robbery charges after an incident early Saturday morning on the 4200 block of Dewdney Avenue.

Police were called to that location just before 1 a.m. on Aug. 19 for a report of a robbery.

"It was reported to police that two females and a male assaulted another female and stole her belongings," said RPS in a media release. "The suspects had fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival."

The suspect vehicle was found a few blocks away, and the trio was arrested without incident during a traffic stop.

"The victim suffered minor injuries in the incident," RPS said.

Heather Fenwick, 61, Kerry Lerat, 37, and Robert Oberkirsch, 59, were all charged with robbery. Fenwick was further charged with drug possession, and Lerat received an additional charge of breach of probation.

All three will make their first appearance in Regina Provincial Court tomorrow.
