Two arrested in La Ronge after man confined, assaulted in home

LA RONGE – A man and woman are facing numerous charges following an assault at a home in Hall Lake.

Quintin Ross, 22, and Sunset Henderson, 21, are both facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, forcible confinement, unlawfully cause bodily harm, robbery, uttering threats, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unsafe storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm. Ross is additionally charged with two counts of possession of a weapons contrary to an order.

RCMP say that at about 6:30 a.m. on June 14, they got a call about a serious assault. They say that a man was confined and seriously assaulted in a home. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Ross and Henderson are scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court June 26.
