Warrant issued for man involved in robbery at knife-point

Female suspect released, police say.

REGINA – A daring robbery at knife-point has one accused before the courts, and police looking for another.

Back on April 19, at 3:45 a.m., police were called to the 1900 block of Rupert Street for an injured taxi-cab driver after a robbery attempt.

"Police and EMS arrived and attended to the victim, who was taken to RGH for non-life-threatening injury," said RPS in a media release. "Police learned that a taxi-cab driver had driven a male and female to their destination, when the male passenger put a knife to the throat of a taxi-cab driver."

The female then got out of the vehicle and demanded money from the driver. In a daring move, the driver was able to grab the knife from the male suspect, who jumped from the cab as it drove away.

Through police investigation, identities of the suspects were confirmed, with the female suspect being arrested on April 28. Christine Huntinghawk, 28, was charged with robbery, and was released on an undertaking to appear in court on June 7.

Two days later, an arrest warrant was issued for Tyrese Pratt, 22.

"Police are asking anyone with information that could help to locate Tyrese Pratt," said RPS. "Information that could assist police in this investigation is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Regina Crime Stoppers online or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or leave a tip through the Regina Police Service Wanted Page."
