SASKATOON – A 27-year-old Saskatoon woman was arrested following an armed robbery at a liquor store on Nov. 16.

Police say they were called to the 400 block of Confederation Drive for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred around 9:30 p.m. Their investigation determined that a man and woman had entered the store and loaded a bag with several bottles of alcohol.

When confronted by an employee, a firearm was produced and the suspects fled. The employee was not physically injured.

Then, shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 17, officers were attending to an unrelated call for service in the 100 block of Avenue U South when they observed a woman consistent in appearance with one of the armed robbery suspects. Their continued investigation resulted in her arrest. When police searched her, they found alcohol but no firearm. The 27-year-old Saskatoon woman has been charged with armed robbery and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.

The male suspect has not been located but police are continuing to investigate.

Anyone with information or video evidence believed to be relevant is asked to contact police directly at 306-975-8300 or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
