Woman suffers knife wound to face: Police search for suspect

The assault occurred in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue South at around 1:30 p.m. following an altercation with a man unknown to the victim.

SASKATOON – A 35-year-old woman suffered a knife wound to her face and Saskatoon Police Service is requesting public help identifying and locating a person of interest.

On Feb. 9, police were called Saskatoon hospital on Queen Street for a report of an injured person. When officers arrived, they found the woman with a knife wound to her face. The police investigation found that the assault occurred in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue South at around 1:30 p.m. following an altercation with a man unknown to the victim.

Investigators with the Serious Assault Unit have identified an adult male as a person of interest. He was seen at the time wearing a black hat, dark coloured flannel jacket, and jeans.
