The Kipling Golf Course & Country Club hosted the annual NVGG (Not Very Good Golfers) Tournament for 74 golf participants on Monday, June 19th. Golfers engaged in fun and friendly competition for a variety of prizes and various winning titles of the tournament.
The Lowest Score Winner with a score of 44 went to Bernie Blackstock and the Highest Score winner with a score of 91 was golfer Roseanne Perras.
At Hole #8 'Closest To The Center': The winner for closest to the center of the 12' circle with drive from tee was Adele Nagy with a measurement of 7'7”.
Hole #3 'Closest To The Pin': Leanne McCarthy won on her first shot at a measured 8'2”.
Tammy Dayle took home the prize for the 'Longest Putt' on Hole #6 at 152”.
At the end of the tournament, two mystery holes were revealed to the golfers, one for Highest Score and another for Lowest Score. At Hole #9, Cheryl Ferch received the prize for the high hole with a High Score of 9. At Hole #7, five golfers with a score of 5 were put into a draw to determine the winner. Barb Swanson was drawn as winner. Ladies included in the draw were Norma Schneider, Katie Guskjolen, Nicole Lyons and Colleen Currie.
A summer planter was raffled and won by Kim Rolufs at the golf event and an additional 13 prize draws were awarded to winners including Kim Dorrance, Leanne McCarthy, Tommi Kish, Amanda Reid, Kristi Balogh, Mavis Armstrong, Barb Swanson, Joan Gieger, Cheryl Ferch, Mackenzie Krecsy, Lori Toth, Jean Morrow and Karla Roppel.
