Steadily growing into one of the “most looked forward to” events in the province over the last four years, it is an important fundraiser for youth-related endeavors and projects in the community. One of the main projects has been the refurbishing of the local youth centre exterior.
Home cooks and chefs compete for the best tasting dishes in both Bacon Sweet and Bacon Savory categories, and ticket holders can taste each one! The best cooks get a “golden ticket” qualifying them to compete in the Canadian Food Championships in Edmonton. (One of our 2015 competitors advanced to the World Food Championships in Florida).
