An award was presented by the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers Battlefords branch to Karen Richard, long-time executive director of Catholic Family Services March 19. It was an award of recognition to Richard for “her dedication to the values and principles of the social work profession within our community.” The award was presented to Richard by Jim Walls, who cited Richard’s leadership with Catholic Family Services and the community services it provides, as well as her activities with many agencies including Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, Sask.
