Barbara Fahlman February 18, 1923 - March 25, 2012 Barbara Fahlman, late of Bienfait, passed away in Estevan on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Barbara was born to George and Mary Moskaluk at Old Taylorton. The family later moved to the farm east of Bienfait. Barbara attended Lignite School; upon leaving school she went to work in Weyburn where she met her future husband Alex Fahlman. They were married on June 23, 1943. After their marriage they lived in the Minton area where their only child Lydia was born. The family moved around to several locations until they purchased land and built up a farm in the Hirsch area. Barbara is survived by her daughter Lydia (Bill) Dacio; grandchildren: Charlene (Rudy) Valdes, Twyla Ronyk (Wally Hurlbert), Sheldon (Cathy) Dacio and Warren (Christa) Dacio; great-grandchildren: Sydnie and Cassandra Ronyk and Andrew Dacio; also step great-grandchildren: Catherine, Adam, and Victoria. She is also survived by her sister Olga (Stan) Kingdon; half-sister Jean Tompkins; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex; parents Mary and George Moskaluk; sisters, Irene (John) Lucki, Stella (Mike) Romanuik, Victoria (Marion) Rohatyn; half-sisters, Annie (Steve) Ciepliski, Ethel (Mike) Cymychz and, Mary Orabko; brother-in-law Mel Tompkins. Prayers were held in the chapel of Hall Funeral Services on Tuesday, March 27, at 7:00 p.m. with Mr. Doug Third Officiating. Funeral mass was held in St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church in Bienfait on Wednesday, March 28, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Peter Nijssen officiating. Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home or to the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
