MLA Ryan Domotor booted from caucus over criminal charge

MLA, Ryan Domotor, has been kicked out of caucus over a criminal charge.

REGINA - The MLA for Cut Knife- Turtleford Ryan Domotor has been booted out of the Saskatchewan Party caucus and stripped of government responsibilities after being charged under the Criminal Code.

Domotor is charged under Section 286.1 of the Criminal Code of obtaining sexual services for consideration. Penalties could range from fines to a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison.

“Those in public office should be working to support vulnerable women, not exploit them,” said Premier Scott Moe in a statement. “There is absolutely no place in our government, nor frankly in the Assembly, for someone who has been charged with such a crime.”

According to the news release from the province, Premier Moe took immediate action on learning of the charge Friday.
