Renewed call for information in 2013 Saskatoon cold case

Algin Gamble was struck by a black SUV, police say.

SASKATOON – Police are looking for information on the 10-year-old death of Algin Anton Gamble.

Back on Sept. 7, 2013, Gamble - then 32 - was last seen riding his bicycle at the corner of 23rd Street and Avenue U South, talking with someone in a black SUV.

"An argument occurred between the two before the SUV drove away at a high rate of speed," said SPS in a media release. "Gamble fell off his bike and was struck by the vehicle as it fled."

Gamble was transported to hospital, but died of his injuries two days later.

"The investigation into this historical homicide remains open," SPS said. "No suspects have been arrested but investigators believe members of the public may have information helpful in solving the case."

Anyone with information can call the Saskatoon Police at (306) 975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
