A three game road swing by the Yorkton Terriers netted the team a single point thanks to an overtime loss.

The OT loss gives the Terriers 20-points, based on a record of 9-20-1-1, and third place in the Viterra Division of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, one-point better than basement dwelling Melville.

Weyburn tops the Viterra with 46-points, with Estevan sitting second with 31-points.

As for the road trip, it started Friday in Flin Flon where the Terriers jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a Kailum Gervais goal 8:08 into the first.

The one-goal lead would hold until late in the second frame when Joseph Leonidas knotted the score with a powerplay goal for the Bombers. It came at the 17:19 mark.

The tie would hold through the rest of regulation time, pushing the game to a five-minute, sudden death, four-on-four extra period.

Brandon Switzer would give the home team the full two-points with the winning goal at 2:28 of extra time.

Matt Kustra took the loss in the Yorkton net facing 32-shots, but helping salvage a single point for the OT loss.

Brenden Newton faced 36-shots in guarding the Bomber net for the win.

The Terriers were in Nipawin for action Saturday.

McKenzie Welke opened the scoring with a goal for Yorkton at 14:47 of the opening frame.

Adam Santoro made it 2-0 at 18:51.

But the lead evaporated in the second as Zach McNeill scored powerplay markers at 8:37 and 9:58 to knot the score heading to the third period.

It took until the 13:45 of the third before Nicholas Riemer broke the tie to give the hometown Hawks their first lead of the contest. The goal would prove to be the game-winner as it was the only marker of the period in the 3-2 Nipawin win.

Kustra was in the Terrier net, again, this time facing 28-shots in the loss, while Hawks netminder Kristian Stead had the win, also facing 28-shots.

The Terriers next action was Sunday afternoon in Melfort.

Tristan Frei gave the Mustangs a 1-0 lead 7:34 into the second period.

Travis Mayan made it 3-0 with goals at 8:47 and 10:59 of the third.

McKenzie Welke finally gave the Terriers a goal at 15:31 of the third, and Carson Welke, added a powerplay goal at 19:26, but that would be as close as Yorkton would get.

Jakob Severson was in the Terrier net for the loss facing 35-shots.

Evan Plotnik had the win for Mustangs facing 21-shots.
