The Bantam UCT Yorkton Terriers were on TV one night last week, albeit for about 15-20 seconds, but they can now lay claim to fame that they were on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada at the tender ages of 13-14.

The Yorkton Minor Hockey Association (YMHA) was among the many booths set up at this year's City Wide Registration night Aug. 31 at the Gallagher Centre.

There will be games each day this week and next week in the U15 and U10 age groups as the Yorkton Ball Hockey League is officially underway. A complete schedule can be found at the www.pointstreak.com web site as well as some player listing.

There will be clinics held at the Gallagher Centre for those wishing to take up the sport in indoor field hockey. Clinic dates will be Wednesday nights from now until March 30. Ages 5-10 go from 6-6:55 p.m., and costs $60.

The Springside Parkland Lions will be hosting the Russian Moscow Atlant in a holiday season exhibition game on Dec. 21 at 7:30p.m. Tickets are currently available at a cost of $6 and are being sold by members of the team.
