Countdown is on for electrifying North Stars season

NORTH BATTLEFORD — The Battlefords North Stars are ramping up excitement for upcoming Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season by offering fans some special deals for pre-season games, announced July 24.

Sept. 7, Team Black vs Team Silver will face off and fans can attend for free, allowing the opportunity to see what their team could look like for upcoming SJHL season.

Two games are being offered for $5 admission and include teams outside of the SJHL. Sept. 10, the Stars will play host to Bonnyville Pontiacs at Access Communications Centre. Sept. 14, the team will host Lloydminster Bobcats at Thunderchild First Nation.

The team’s social media post said, “Don’t miss the energy, the talent and the first glimpse of what’s to come this season. Let’s pack the rink.”

A teaser post also asked fans to tune into their social channels for another big announcement on July 25.

The North Stars home opener is set for Sept. 19, playing the Kindersley Kippers.
