MOSQUITO , GRIZZLY BEAR'S HEAD LEAN MAN FIRST NATION - Update, May 16: The increased police presence in the Mosquito Grizzly Bear's Head Lean Man First Nation area has since ended.
Chief Tanya Stone advised SaskToday that police originally received calls of multiple shootings at the school grounds. However, upon their arrival, there were no signs of shooting and no arrests were made.
Original post, May 13: Residents of the townsite area of Mosquito Grizzly Bear's Head Lean Man First Nation were instructed via a Facebook page post at approximately 5 p.m., Tuesday that they were to stay in their residences until further notice. The lockdown was lifted about an hour later.
A post letting residents know the lockdown was over stated it had been lifted by the RCMP and that they should expect an increased police presence over the next 24 hours.
There were no further details provided.
