It promises to be a bigger and better North Battleford International Street Performer Festival in 2019. The sixth-annual Festival runs July 26 and 27, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

North Battleford will be taking advantage of some funding opportunities made possible through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Fund.

The Western Development Museum in North Batteford last week held a bee that was well attended. They are putting a few final touches on things to get ready for Those Were the Days in August.

Historical reasons and potential development are motivators behind the Town of Battleford approving the purchase of land from the Oblates. The Oblates are selling just under nine acres of land near Government House to Battleford for $75,000.

Family and friends joined Blanche Nichol on July 11 to celebrate her 105th birthday. She currently is a resident at River Heights Lodge in North Battleford. She was born at Invermay on July 11, 1914.
