The province announced Thursday the Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory Network is expanding to central and northern Saskatchewan. Initially launched in March in southern Saskatchewan, now even more of the province will see the benefits of the service.

Volunteering is important to the Battlefords and area, and a recent Saskatchewan Health Authority event showed its appreciation. The Saskatchewan Health Authority hosted a volunteer appreciation event at Lawrence Hall in the Dekker Centre.

No, this was not “Talk with our kids about pizza.” This was actually called “Talk with our kids about money,” the national program where kids learn about financial literacy. This is the fifth year the program took place in schools in the Battlefords.

Unity RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a stolen truck and its thief. On April 16, the Unity/Wilkie/Macklin RCMP received a complaint of a theft of motor vehicle.
