The Government of Saskatchewan is looking for applicants to join a new Income Assistance Advisory Group to help Social Services improve income assistance programs and services.

Building permit numbers are in for February in North Battleford and they continue to go up. A total of seven permits were issued for $207,500 in February, up from four for $195,000 for the same month in 2018.

It has been a busy time recently for the North Battleford fire department picking up needles around the city. Fire Chief Trevor Brice provided the fire report to the city Monday with preliminary numbers for March sharps pickups.

April 3 is the next court date for Randall Nicotine, facing ten charges in connection to a police chase south of Battleford on March 21. He made a brief court appearance on Wednesday before Judge Kim Young.

The Gold Eagle Casino Events Centre hosted another full house for the 19th Pride of the Northwest talent show. Entertainment lasted all night as singers and jiggers competed for titles and prize money.
