The Living Sky School Division Board of Education has announced the appointment of David (Dave) Hutchinson to the position of director of education/CEO effective August 2016.

There was plenty of activity at the NationsWEST Field House where Living Skies Refuge held their Fundraiser Funfair event. Proceeds from the event go towards the organization’s efforts to bring a Syrian refuge family to the Battlefords.

North Battleford Comprehensive High School student Kiley Elmer has again been recognized for service to her community. Kiley, the Battlefords Junior Citizen of the Year, has been awarded the Governor General Caring Citizen Award.

Thursday, at approximately 12:23 p.m., the Battlefords RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision involving three semi tractor units on Highway 40.

RCMP are reporting that Friday, March 11 between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., suspects broke into the RM of Paynton shop where a 2016 white Dodge Ram was stolen. Also stolen was an Acer laptop computer. A sea can outside of the shop was also broken into.
