Saskatoon RCMP are asking the public for their assistance in locating Sheree Fertuck, a 51-year-old woman from Saskatoon. Fertuck was last seen leaving her family's farm yard east of Kenaston near Highway 15 around 1:30 p.m. Monday.

The City of North Battleford, with co-operation from Destination Battlefords, is putting together a big package and proposal to host the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games and the Town of Battleford will be providing a letter of support for that bid.

At Monday’s Battleford town council meeting, Mayor Derek Mahon announced for the public the recipients recognized for years of service at the 2015 Christmas banquet Nov. 27 at the Alex Dillabough Centre.

An error in a bid price has resulted in the Town of Battleford reversing a decision on the supplier of a new carpet cleaner for the Alex Dillabough Centre.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 9 selected two members for the Legionnaire of the year award. President of the Legion since 2010, Esther Delainey, won the coveted award and so did long-time member Wendy Ebach. The awards were presented Monday.

The students from a Grade 6/7 split class at Ecole Monseignur Blaise Morand brought on the holiday spirit by raising money for an organization called KIVA. KIVA is a non-profit organization that provides micro-loans to people in need.

Battlefords RCMP are investigating the sudden death of a 36-year-old woman in North Battleford Tuesday. Police say a call was received of a woman in medical distress in front of a residence on the 100 block of 103rd Street at 9:45 p.m.

"He has a burning desire to win, he is gritty and arguably one of the fastest players I have coached."

Lois Irene born July 28, 1927 and passed away peacefully with family at her side on October 1, 2015.
