I can't even fathom that it has been a month since graduation, we have only one more month at home with the kids before they go back to school and in a few short days it will be August already.

Ed, my neighbour next door, never misses what is happening at our house. Yesterday, we had a couple of men hired to move some furniture out of the house and around in the house.

We have been experiencing showers or just cloudy skies the last few days, quite a change from the hot weather just a few days before. Thunder has been part of the rain showers. Last night. thunder could be heard along with the rain.

Setting goals is the first step towards success. Monday evening I set a goal for myself as I tried sailing for the first time - do NOT sink the boat. One of the two instructors at the Battlefords Sailing Club, Payton Byrns, ensured me I wouldn't.

The son who killed prominent Saskatoon lawyer Ian Buckwold will have a psychiatric assessment done at Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford. Alvin Buckwold, 31, was ordered to undergo the assessment by a Prince Albert judge Tuesday.

After 10 months of training, the Battlefords Roller Derby team finally competed in their first bout Saturday, and it was better than they could have imagined.

WOLOSCHUK, ROMAN ANDREW (ANDY): Roman Andrew "Andy" Woloschuk, husband of Marie Thérèse "Terry" (née Bourdois) for 58 years, came into the world August 30, 1928 and passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013.
