Agnes Jansen"Always in our heart, you are an inspiration, Mom. We love you forever".Agnes was born July 7th, 1918, the 10th of 11 children to Jacob and Anna (Neuses) Schmitz in Englefeld, SK. She attended school in Englefeld and continued her education at the Ursuline Academy in Bruno. Agnes was a young 94 years with a quick wit, generous spirit, kind demeanour and compassionate nature endearing her to many. She married Gary Jansen on July 9th, 1940 and together they farmed outside of Watson raising 6 children. In 1982 they retired in Saskatoon. Agnes passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital July 16, 2012. She is predeceased by her husband, Gary Jansen (Jan.7, 04); her parents; siblings; son-in-law, Wallace Peel (Jan.3/12). She is survived by her children, Glen (Gail), Vivian Peel, Allan (Teresa), Jane Junker (Allen), Nancy (Allan Harbour), Kathy Jansen-Ayres (John); daughter-in-law, Shirley Teasdale; in-laws, Denise and Rose Schmitz, and Bernard (Mathilda) Jansen. She loved and cherished her 12 grandchildren, Craig, Lisa-Rene, Cory, Athenia, Jeremy, Quin, Jamie, Ryan, Chad, David, Paul, and Laura; 12 great-grandchildren, Angela ,Luke, Allison, Kaylee, Kyle, Piper, Maya, Aidan, Addyson, Greyson, Owen, Mason, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family was important to her as evident by her loving guidance and support to her children and grandchildren. She met life's challenges with strength, determination and resiliency. Vigil for Agnes will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20th and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 21st. Both services held at Holy Spirit Parish (114 Kingsmere Place). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Hospital Foundation (1702-20th Street West, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9).
