KLEITER - It is with very saddened hearts the family announces the sudden, unexpected, accidental death of Barry James Kleiter, 43 years of Humboldt, on Thursday June 7, 2012 at Armstrong, BC. Barry was born on September 28, 1968 in Meadow Lake, SK to Lorne and Rona (nee Wiebe) Kleiter; he was the youngest of three sons. The family lived in Saskatoon and Biggar before settling in Humboldt in 1980. Growing up Barry spent many days at their family cabin at Wakaw Lake, where he enjoyed boating, fishing, and water skiing. Barry had a strong work ethic, sometimes working two or three jobs throughout high school. In 1988, he began a committed relationship with Renae Schlitz, the love of his life. They were married on June 29, 1991 at Faith Lutheran Church in Middle Lake and together with Kayli they began their life. They lived in Saskatoon and Martensville until the spring of 1992 when Barry started his 20 year welding career with the PCS mine in Lanigan. It was at this time that they decided to make Humboldt their forever home. Shortly after, Mitchell and Kelsey were born, completing their family of three. Barry was a hard working person who always loved a challenge. A welder by trade, he had many other skills which allowed him to construct two homes for his family, as well as sharing these skills with friends and family on various reno jobs. Barry was very talented and could do anything that he put his mind to. He just needed to see it done once and he could accomplish the task; needless to say he could fix just about anything and became the "MacGyver" of the family. Five years ago Barry met a group of friends that changed his life. He became a gentle soul with inner peace and a new view on life. His relationships with his children, family and friends grew to a new level. Barry had a desire to soar in the sky and began researching and learning about Power Para Motors. Over time he purchased the equipment and signed up for training. This experience was bringing him much excitement and fulfillment; his first time flying in the clouds was a joyous moment. Barry started tinkering on motorcycles and snowmobiles at a young age, a passion he passed on to his son; they had just started rebuilding a bike together. He loved his Harley and enjoyed the trips he made alone, with Renae or with friends. Barry enjoyed taking his kids, nieces & nephews out on the boat for a tube ride or fishing. Last year Barry and Renae purchased their first camper and were planning to take many more trips like the one they took to BC last summer. A family trip to Jamaica was being planned for this winter. Barry meant a lot to many people and became a true friend to many. In the past couple of years Barry radiated inner peace. This is who he had become! His words of wisdom shared a few days prior to his passing were "Take the positive and throw the rest out". Barry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 21 years, Renae Kleiter and three children: Kayli Kleiter (Wade Hogemann) of Muenster, Mitchell Kleiter (Kathleen Classen) and Kelsey Kleiter, all of Humboldt; parents, Lorne and Rona Kleiter of Tisdale; two brothers, Mike (Lisa) Kleiter and family Joelle and Kristen, and Dean (Sherry) Kleiter and family MacKenzie, Rylan and Madison (his goddaughter), all of Saskatoon; parents-in-law, Wayne Schlitz of Fulda and Lois Schlitz of Humboldt; brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Nevin (Glenda) Schlitz of Humboldt and family Allyssa, Zoe and Jordis and Heather (Troy) Schreiner of Annaheim and family Brittany, Tarin and Olivia (his goddaughter); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends; three special grand pets: Phonebook, Teeka and Willy. Barry was predeceased by his grandparents: Roy and Twyla Wiebe and Leo and Ruth Kleiter. A Funeral Service was held from Faith Lutheran Church in Middle Lake, SK on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Ken Keller. Others taking part in the service were: organist and soloist, Sharon Carter; scripture readers, Dean Kleiter and Shawn Wentz; eulogist Mike Kleiter; and memorial table attendants, Kelly Herperger and Amanda Danylczuk; An Honour Guard was formed by a group of Barry's very special friends. Pallbearers were James Johnson, Bernie Malinoski, Wayne Kalthoff, Kurt Moormann, Denis Saretsky and Guy Teiber.
